Group “Ubuyambo performing arts”

The Republic of South Africa is a country of two oceans. This state is located in the southern part of Africa and is washed by the waters of the Indian and Atlantic oceans. This is the southernmost country on the mainland of the Eastern hemisphere. South Africa is a very beautiful and exciting country. There are stunning beaches, mountains, wildlife and an incredible coastline, stretching more than 2500 km. On the territory of the South African Republic is the largest meteorite trail on Earth – the Vredefort crater and the highest mountain peak of the country – Njesuthi.

The key attractions of this country are the national parks and reserves, which are home to a huge variety of wildlife, including the famous "Big Five" (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and rhino). Here is the oldest National Park in Africa – Kruger.

This state is one of the most nationally diverse countries in Africa. The culture of South Africa is the heritage of the original cultures of peoples living in the country, interwoven into a bright and exceptional bouquet of traditions and folklore. At the VI CIOFF® World Folkloriada the unique flavor of the culture of this country will be presented by the “Ubuyambo performing arts" group.

The symbolic and mysterious performances of the group reflect the traditions of the peoples of this country, which have been preserved for centuries and passed down from generation to generation to the present day.
