Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a country of islands and magnificent scenery. This state is located in the Caribbean Sea on the emerald volcanic island of St. Vincent and the Northern Grenadines archipelago. Most of them are majestic mountains with picturesque forests, as well as many beaches with white sand and bays. Most of the attractions here were created by nature itself. For example, the sleeping ancient La Soufriere volcano in the north of the country. Its slopes are covered with dense moist tropical forests, and numerous mountain streams form a complex system of rivers and lakes.
A bright attraction of the capital of the state Kingstown is the Botanical Garden, which is more than 200 years old. The city has also preserved ancient buildings and cathedrals, whose architectural appearance is unique.
The culture of this island nation has absorbed elements from different traditions and trends. Its inhabitants have a strong tradition of oral art, folklore, music and dance. At the VI CIOFF® World Folkloriada they will be presented by the “La Gracia” Dance Company. The creative team was founded in 2001 and today has more than 100 participants from 4 to 27 years.
