about open competition for the best symbol
Vl World Folkloriada CIOFF®2020
1. General provisions
1.1. These Regulations determine the procedure for organizing and conducting an open competition for the best symbol of the VI World Folkloriada CIOFF®2020.
2. Goal and tasks
2.1. The goal of the competition: development of the symbol of the VI World Folkloriada CIOFF®2020 for its further use as a symbol
2.2. Tasks of the competition:
Select of the best symbol that expressing the idea and main aspects, of the World Folkloriada
Promoting visual recognition of the VI World Folkloriada CIOFF®2020.
3. Organizers of the competition
3.1. The competition is organized by the Organizing Committee of Folkloriada, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
3.2. The jury of the competition is formed from the Organizing Committee of the competition and decides on the results of the competition.
4. Dates of the competition
4.1. The competition is held from February 18, 2020 through March 31, 2020.
4.2. The competition results are summed up within a week after the deadline for applications (until April 10, 2020), the results are posted on the official website of the Folkloriada.
5. Participants of the competition
5.1. Both single authors and creative groups can take part in the competition.
6. The procedure for submitting artworks
6.1. Graphic symbols in the form of a drawing or using any graphic computer editor are accepted for the competition, symbolizing: peace, folklore and ethnic identity of peoples, the ideology of Folkloriada. Also mythical images from legends, legends, epics, songs are accepted.
6.2. Competitive artworks (sketches) or photo samples should be sent to the email address email@example.com
6.3. An annotation is attached to the material, briefly explaining the meaning of the symbol and containing the author's interpretation of the symbolic meaning.
6.4. An application must be attached to the competitive work (Appendix No. 1).
7. Copyright Compliance
7.1. The participant who submitted a sketch of the World Folkloriada symbol to the competition guarantees his authorship.
7.2. The rights to use the entries belong to the organizers.
7.3. By submitting a draft symbol, the participant of the competition thereby agrees to transfer the right to use the symbol, including the right to public reproduction, duplication.
7.4. The rights of authors are respected in accordance with the Civil Code of the Russian Federation.
8. Select of the winner and evaluation criteria of competitive artworks
8.1. The winner of the competition is selected by the jury according to the results of the evaluation of works on a 5-point system according to the following criteria:
- artistic level of work performance, creativity;
- conciseness of visual techniques and originality of graphic solutions;
- decoration; unity of design and drawing.
8.2. The author of the symbol with the most points is selected as the winner.
8.3. When the contestants gain the same number of points, the decision on selecting the winner is made by the Chairman of the jury.
8.4. The winner is encouraged by a personal invitation to the Opening Ceremony of the World Folkloriada CIOFF®2020 in Ufa on July 18, 2020.
